Don't Leave Ubud Without Eating Here

This is the best place to eat in Bali. Eelke Plasmeijer, a Michelin trained chef, and Ray Adriansyah, Eelke’s former Sous Chef at Alila Ubud, decided to open a restaurant focused on passion, sustainability, and local ingredients. As a result, you can expect dedicated staff and a meal with over 95% of the kitchen’s ingredients coming from Indonesia in a restaurant dedicated to environmentally sustainable practices.

They offer two menus: herbivore and locavore. I got herbivore and my husband got locavore so we could trade bites. Typically, I like my meat but I was blown away with the vegetarian dishes. I could eat vegetarian all the time with more menus like this. The Young Fruit ‘Belly’ with Jackfruit was unreal.

If we return to Bali sooner than later it will be to eat here again. Reservations book up quickly so don’t waste any time booking a table here. If you go or have been, let me know in the comments.
